TOUR OF INSPECTION

Shortly after roll-call the Commission will leave the Council chamber for an on-site Tour of Inspection of all properties listed on the agenda (including those on the Consent Agenda). The tour may include projects previously approved by the City and not on this agenda. Prior to the beginning of the tour, the Commission may eliminate one or more on-site visits. The public is welcome to join the Commission on its tour. The Commission will return to the Council chamber at 3:45 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible.

DS 20-037 (Torres 2 SW of 9th): Consideration of a Track 1 Design Study (DS 20-037, Myer) referral to the Planning Commission revising the wood shingle roof approved by the Planning Commission to a grey concrete tile roofing at a property located on Torres Street, 2 SW of 9th Avenue in the Single-Family Residential (R-1) Zoning District (APN: 010-071-002).

 

CEQA Action: Staff recommends that the proposed project be found categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), State CEQA guidelines and local environmental regulations, pursuant to Section 15303 (Class 3) – New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures.

DS 19-149 (Scenic 3 SE 9th Avenue): Consideration of Final Design Study (DS 19-149, Esperanza Carmel LLC) and associated Coastal Development Permit for the demolition of a single-family residence and  construction of a new single-family residence located on Scenic Road, 3 SE of 9th Avenue in the Single-Family Residential (R-1) and Beach and Riparian Overlay Zoning Districts. (APN: 010-302-011)

 

CEQA Action: Staff recommends that the project be found categorically exempt from CEQA requirements pursuant to Section 15303 (Class 3), New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures.

CD 20-049 (Monte Verde 3 SW of 8th): Consideration of a Planning Commission Code Determination (CD 20-049)  regarding development standards and design guidelines in the A-1 zoning district for the property located at Monte Verde, 4 SW 8th in the Theatrical (A-1) Zoning District (Golden Bough Playhouse).

VIDEO6.DS 19-346 & VA 19-450 (Monte Verde 2 SW of 2nd): Consideration of a Final Design Study (DS 19-346, Cao-Wang) and plate height variance (VA 19-450) for the demolition of the majority of the existing residence and construction of a new 2-story residence and detached garage on a property located on Monte Verde, 2 SW of 2nd Avenue in the Single-Family Residential (R-1) Zoning District and Archaeological Significance (AR) Overlay District. (APN: 010-223-034) 

CEQA Action: Staff recommends that the proposed project be found categorically exempt from CEQA requirements, pursuant to Section 15303 (Class 3) – New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures.

(APN: 010-175-016)
