RECOMMENDATION:
Receive a presentation and make a recommendation to City Council regarding the establishment of an Underground Utility District between the Del Mar parking lot at the west end of Ocean Avenue and San Antonio Avenue, and a potential Overhead to Underground Power Line Conversion Project within the District  utilizing "Rule 20A" allocated funds.
BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The Rule 20A Undergrounding Ad Hoc Committee will be receiving a presentation from staff, and then consider making a recommendation to City Council regarding the establishment of an "underground district" that runs from the Del Mar parking lot at the west end of Ocean Avenue and San Antonio Avenue.  The establishment of this district would allow the City to utilize funds available through the "Rule 20A Program" to place powerlines within the district underground.

Information about the Rule 20A Program, and the undergrounding district, can be found by clicking the link below to view the November, 2023 City Council Meeting Staff Report with attachments.
