SUBJECT:Consideration of the appointment of an ad hoc committee to begin studying alternate locations for library services during the potential library restoration/renovation project 
RECOMMENDATION:
Appoint an ad hoc committee to begin studying alternate locations for library services during the potential library restoration/renovation project
BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

The Trustees have been receiving monthly reports out from the Master Plan ad hoc committee on any progress made on the restoration/renovation project for the Harrison Memorial Library. While the project is still in very early stages, one of the keys to success for this project will be the assurance is that library services and access to materials for the duration the eventual construction.

 

Staff and the ad hoc committee will be exploring locations throughout the greater Carmel area to begin to determine potential options and costs for the temporary relocation of library services housed that the Harrison Library. The ad hoc committee will develop evaluation criteria and provide a report out to the board about preliminary findings before the end of the calendar year.
