SUBJECT:Resolution 2022-097 Authorizing the Mayor to Execute a Sixth Amendment to the City Administrator At-Will Employment Agreement Effective October 1, 2022  
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution 2022-097 authorizing the Mayor to execute a sixth amendment to the City Administrator At-Will Employment Agreement effective October 1, 2022.
BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:

On February 2, 2016, the City entered into an Employment Agreement with Chip Rerig, to serve as the City Administrator with a base salary of $190,000.  Since that time, the City Council has approved salary increases for the City Administrator and the current base salary of Mr. Rerig is $216,650.

 

The attached Resolution authorizes the Mayor to execute a sixth amendment to the City Administrator At-Will Employment Agreement effective October 1, 2022.  Exhibit A (attached) to the Resolution is a proposed sixth amendment to City Administrator At-Will Employment Agreement which includes a proposed salary increase of 7% of the current salary of $216,650 which is $15,165. The total base salary proposed in the Sixth Amendment is $231,815.   

FISCAL IMPACT:

The proposed salary increase in the sixth amendment to the City Administrator At-Will Employment Agreement is $15,165.

Resolution No. 2016-012:  Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Chip Rerig on February 2, 2016
