Background
City Boards and Commissions perform a valuable service to the City by providing means by which the City Council can obtain advice, opinions, and recommendations of City residents and other members of the community. Currently, there are (2) vacancies on the Forest and Beach Commission, and two (2) vacancies on the Historic Resources Board that need to be filled:
- The Forest and Beach Commission had a member whose term expired on May 30, 2022 and they did not re-apply leaving a vacancy for a full 4-year term. Another Commissioner with a term ending on October 30, 2022 resigned on June 21, 2022, leaving an unscheduled vacancy.
- The Historic Resources Board had one member who resigned, with a term ending in less than year, leaving an unscheduled vacancy. Another member of the Board moved out of Carmel-by-the-Sea City Limits/sphere of influence (and therefore resigned) leaving an unscheduled vacancy.
